All spice and no sugar makes for a bland Affair; thankfully Spice Safar, the latest addy to the trendy King West strip is a feast for the senses. The Montreal based Boutique/lounge/coffee house know for comparisons to the legendary W hotel, hosted a chic soirée to introduce their latest Toronto venue, invite only of course.

I’m not a fan of “haute affairs”; the crowd is often so predictable, pushy PR people, boastful Bloggers all competing for the spotlight and that 1 pretentious bitch that has a problem with your fake LV purse. Thankfully this crowd was different, minus the pretentious bitch. I spent the evening soaking up the luxe of the space that oozed an old world meets modern charm, and engaged in savory convo with delightful young movers and shakers (the future looks bright). I chatted up Laura Kim Connell a fabulous writer who told me about her upcoming goal to compete in the San Francisco marathon, connected with Anna Jonca, her latest venture repping Phuze (a jewelry line she is importing exclusively from Mexico) and caught up with Jay Strut who was working the room as per.
